Anti-Reflective Coating on Plastic Sheet

Anti-reflective coatings on plastics have a host of practical applications such as glare reduction on eyeglasses, computer monitors and smart-phone display when outdoors. But first of all, what is an anti-reflective coating?

What Is an Anti-Reflective Coating?

An anti-reflective coating is basically an optical coating applied to the surface of a lens or other optical elements. That particular coating is designed to decrease the amount of light that is reflected off of the outer surface and the inner surface of the lens.

When you pass in front of a shop’s window, you will see your reflection as you walk by. The same is true for the lenses of a pair of glasses, for instance. The outer surface will reflect that light and the person looking at you will see their own reflection. These anti-reflective coatings are designed to reduce the amount of reflection and allow more light to pass through the window.

The Best Anti-Reflective Coating on Plastic Sheet

Diamond Coatings offers market leading anti-reflective coating on plastic sheets. We utilise unique technology compared to other standard coatings. We are equipped to provide durable, clean, multi-layered coatings tailored to give maximum light transmission and minimum reflectance.

Application

  • Electronic fascias
  • Marine instruments
  • Picture glazing
  • Opto-electronics
  • Teletronics
  • Electronics

Our Anti-Reflecting plastic coating reduces transmitted light loss by minimising surface reflection to display a clear sharp image under a broad range of lighting conditions. This Anti-Reflecting plastic can be used in crucial display applications such as military, aerospace and marine displays.
