The quality of projected images is a cinema’s most valuable asset. While reel-to-reel movie projectors did not have to use specialised port windows with advanced optical technology, today’s digital projection means both new and old theatres have to ensure their cinema projector glass has optimal colour rendition and light transmission for digitally projected media in both 3D and 2D.
AR Coated Fire Rated Cinema Projector Glass
Anti-Reflective Cinema Projector Glass supplied to leading Cinema Companies by Diamond Coatings consists of Pilkington E60 and E130 Fire Rated Glass coated with a Custom Anti-Reflection Film specifically designed to provide superior colour rendition and light transmission for digitally projected 2D and 3D media.
Available in port sizes up to 1000 mm x 1000 mm and providing a superior typical average transmission of 96 per cent between 450 nm to 650 nm (600 mm x 600 mm ports provide optimal optical properties; outer edges on larger ports may have slightly reduced transmission), our cinema projector glass has already been installed in cinemas across the UK and Europe.
Anti-Reflective Coating
The Cinema Projection Portal Glass Anti Reflective Coating not only provides first class colour rendition and providing superior visible light transmission with typical average 96% from 450nm to 650nm, it also dramatically reduces reflection.
Pilkington Fire Rated Glass
Cinema projector glass not only has to provide superior transmission, it must also be impact- and fire-resistant. Providing impact protection of up to BS EN 12600 Class 1 (depending on thickness),Fire Rated Glass complies with ISO and European test standards in terms of both insulation and integrity, making it the perfect base substrate to use for our cinema projector glass.
